Midsegue are about one thing: classic and literate pop songs. Arrangements are focused on piano, simply programmed drums, bass, and only minimal synthesizers for support. Electronics are the tool, not the gimmick. midsegue is the songwriting duo of Vidya Lutchman and Daniel Bernard, accompanied on bass by Michèle Martin. Originally a more electronically focused pop duo, the midsegue sound has evolved to rely not on computers and sequencing, but on the delicate dynamics that occur between live players. The result is something new yet familiar; something literate and complex, yet accessible.
