Jered started taking piano lessons for tradition's sake around the 4th grade. His pathetic site reading disability encouraged him to work on improvisation and original piano work outside of his regular piano lessons. Out of necessity, he learned some basic guitar skills to accompany his piano. Meanwhile, he learned to play percussion, harmonica, and bass. Now, his guitar has become just as dominant as his piano in his tunes, and he gives credit to his piano skills for teaching him the fundamental knowledge that allowed him to delve so easily into guitar and other instruments.
His sound ranges from mellow jazz to hard rock, and everything in between. He has been compared to the likes of A Perfect Circle, Tool, and Muse.
Jered looks for revolution in the music scene. He hates the sell out "hook" bands who make music for money, and not for its aesthetic value.
